Gibraltar, February 25, 2025 – Professor Philémon ZOO ZAME is leading the Cameroonian delegation at the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) Digital Week ongoing in Gibraltar.

The spotlight today was on Mr. MBENGIE Peter, Technical Advisor Number 3 at the TRB, as he expertly moderated a session on the complexities of data governance in today's interconnected world.

The session, "Navigating Data Sovereignty: Challenges and Opportunities," tackled the intricacies of data governance and sovereignty impacting governments, businesses, and individuals.

Hosted at Sunborn Yacht Hotel Gibraltar, discussions, crucial for Cameroon and the Central African Region, explored a broad range of perspectives, from the development of data cultures to cloud migration strategies.

Mr. MBENGIE Peter, at the helm of the session, expertly steered the discussion among presenters from various organizations: UNICEF offered insight into data culture; Gibtelecom discussed the implications of cloud migration; the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority presented on public sector data governance; and the Caribbean Datacentre Association analyzed the balance between connectivity and data sovereignty.
