A DIRECTORY TO STRENGTHEN TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST IN CAMEROON’S TELECOMMUNICATIONS SECTOR

A DIRECTORY TO STRENGTHEN TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST IN CAMEROON’S TELECOMMUNICATIONS SECTOR

In today’s rapidly evolving digital environment, reliable information and transparency are essential. This is why the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (TRB) has launched the preparation of the 2026 Directory of Operators and Service Providers in the electronic communications sector.

More than a simple list, the directory is intended to serve as a regulatory and consumer protection tool. By updating its database of licensed operators and service providers, TRB will give users access to clear and verified information about companies that are authorised to provide electronic communications services. Citizens will be able to identify legitimate providers, locate their offices and service outlets, as well as distinguish authorised operators from fraudulent or unauthorised service providers.

The directory will also be useful to public institutions and institutional partners. It will make it easier to identify operators involved in public procurement and help improve traceability and transparency in related procedures. It will also promote greater confidence in the sector by identifying operators that comply with regulatory requirements and those that do not.

Beyond its regulatory role, the directory reflects TRB’s commitment to supporting Cameroon’s digital transformation through modern and accessible tools. TRB is therefore inviting all operators and service providers to complete the identification form available on its official website by 30th September 2026.

Through this initiative, TRB reaffirms its commitment to building a telecommunications sector that is transparent, well regulated and focused on the public interest.
The 2026 directory will serve as an important reference for consumers, public institutions and investors. It will help strengthen confidence in the market and support the development of Cameroon’s digital economy.
