TRB HOSTS NIGERIAN COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION FOR SECOND LEG OF BENCHMARKING EXERCISE

On Monday, 10 August 2026, the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (TRB) hosted a delegation from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for the second leg of a benchmarking and study visit designed to foster knowledge sharing and strengthen digital cooperation between Cameroon and Nigeria.

The session, held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Platinum Building, brought together officials from both institutions for technical presentations and constructive exchanges. It was chaired by Technical Adviser No. 3, Mr. Mbengie Peter, representing the Director General, Prof. Philemon Zoo Zame. The Nigerian delegation was led by Mr. Tolulope Emmanuel Awolope of the Consumer Affairs Bureau.

Four major presentations structured the discussions:

– The legal and consumer protection framework, delivered by Mr. Zoh Ondo Gilles, Director of Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection.

– Monitoring and control of Quality of Service (QoS) in electronic communications networks.

– The real-time architecture and operation of TRB data platforms.

– The integration of artificial intelligence agents into TRB systems to enhance regulatory efficiency and service oversight.

Each presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, enabling participants to share experiences and deepen their understanding of regulatory practices in both countries.

The day’s programme concluded with a guided tour of TRB’s platform unit, offering the visiting delegation a practical overview of the Agency’s supervisory tools and systems.
